Barno Teshaboeva, known for her role as Alfiya kampir, birthday

Barno Teshaboeva, one of Uzbekistan's renowned artists, turned 55 on April 14. Zamin.uz reported this.
She is known to many not by her personal identity, but through the image of Alfiya kampir (Grandma Alfiya), which became popular among the people. The actress was born in 1971 in Olmazor village, Chinoz district of Tashkent region.
As the sixth child of a family of eight, Barno grew up as a curious girl with a rich imagination from childhood. Her character was greatly influenced by the early death of her father and the tireless hard work of her mother.
During her childhood years, she loved creating stage performances and playing various scripted games with her peers. Creative exploration and freedom brought her more pleasure than doing household chores.
A dangerous incident she experienced in her youth—nearly drowning in a canal—changed her outlook on life and awakened a strong desire to live. The path into the world of art was not easy for her.
After watching a movie, she decided to become an actress and tried to showcase her talent by writing letters to various studios. During the admission process, people belittled her and told her that she would not even be able to enter the technical college, but she did not give up.
The greatest success of her career was the image of Alfiya kampir. She created this persona at the age of 18, while she was still a student.
Later, thanks to her participation in the famous satirical show "Qalpoq," this image became recognized nationwide. Many people even began calling her Alfiya instead of her real name.
In several interviews, Barno Teshaboeva emphasized that she does not regret this situation. In her opinion, every artist can remain in history not through beautiful roles, but through a single strong character that finds its way into the hearts of the people.
Currently, the actress continues her creative activity, and the images she has created will be remembered by many.
