Honored Artist Hosila Rahimova Celebrates Her 51st Birthday

On April 22, Hosila Rahimova, an Honored Artist of Uzbekistan and a prominent representative of oasis folk art and folklore, celebrated her 51st birthday, as reported by Zamin.uz. Having mastered the secrets of horsemanship since childhood, the artist's creative career is as vibrant, passionate, and energetic as she is.
On the occasion of this milestone, we take a look at the singer's life journey and her milestones in the world of art. Hosila Rahimova was born into a family of medical professionals.
Her father, Ibrohim Hoji, was one of the most famous and skilled healers in the Denau district. The head of the family had three daughters in a row, and even after having a son, he named his youngest daughter 'Kholmat' as a superstitious gesture.
Known by this name in the neighborhood, the girl who practiced kurash (wrestling) and rode horses eventually grew up to be a famous singer. According to the artist, since only daughters were being born, her father raised her like a boy.
Memories of her short hair, boyish character, and interests remain vivid from her childhood. The singer always mentions with gratitude her father's invaluable contribution to the formation of her interest in art.
Their home was always open to artists, and many creative people were guests there. Her father's love for art and his support for his daughter's talent were the main catalysts for Hosila Rahimova's entry onto the big stage.
Although the singer now prefers to stay away from controversies and scandals, she does not hide that she was quite feisty and spirited in her childhood. While it is natural for a person's character to change over time, her determination and proactivity remain intact.
Influenced by her family environment, Hosila Rahimova is no stranger to the medical field. The days she spent helping her father receive patients and performing nursing duties served as a great school of life.
The artist notes that she received her higher education a bit later than her peers. After getting married and having two children, she enrolled in the Tashkent State Institute of Culture with her father's permission and support.
Living away from her children during her student years, the longing and the hardships of studying made her even more strong-willed. After graduating, she began her independent creative career in 2001, with her sister providing close support.
Although the concept of producing was not yet widespread at that time, the help of her relatives in all organizational matters was significant. Even in the most difficult moments of her life, the artist prioritized her responsibility to the stage.
For instance, in 2006, shortly after her father's death, despite the heavy grief in her heart, she performed a concert program to fulfill her promise to the public. Today, Hosila Rahimova continues to be cherished by her fans for her unique voice and songs that celebrate national values.
