The famous singer Alla Pugachyova continues to receive a pension from the Russian budget even after leaving Russia in 2022. This was reported by Upl.uz.
At the same time, she is not receiving social assistance in the countries where she currently resides. This situation raises interest, as the singer maintains a connection with the Russian pension system despite having moved abroad.
As of May 2025, the 76-year-old Pugachyova receives approximately 60,000 rubles per month. This amount includes the basic pension and additional payments.
The additional payments are granted to her for the title of People's Artist of the former Soviet Union and for participating in a concert dedicated to those who responded to the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster in 1986. It is said that during the concert, the singer was exposed to a certain amount of radiation, which served as the basis for the additional payments.
After leaving Russia, Pugachyova initially resided in Israel. In this country, she was unable to receive a local pension.
According to Israeli law, social benefits are only granted to those who have worked in the country for at least ten years. The singer did not meet these requirements, so she was not provided assistance.
Later, Pugachyova moved to Cyprus and also tried to explore the possibility of receiving social benefits there. In Cyprus, it is theoretically possible to receive social assistance, but this requires living in European Union countries for at least twenty years and not having other pension income.
Due to receiving a pension from Russia and not having lived long in the European Union, Pugachyova could not claim a Cypriot pension. Despite the absence of a foreign pension, the singer has financial assets in Russia.
In particular, she owns a house in the city of Istra. Previously, this house was valued at 152 million rubles, but now its value has dropped to 130 million rubles.
The owner of the house is the singer's grandson Nikita Presnyakov, who has been living in the USA for several years. If Pugachyova decides to sell this property, she needs to act quickly, as its price continues to decline.
Alla Pugachyova performed a concert in the Chernobyl area a few months after the disaster in 1986. This concert, organized for the liquidators, is considered one of the first cultural events held in the area.
It is valued as her support for those who struggled with the consequences of the disaster.
