Farhod Mahmudov's challenges in his acting career
Farhod Mahmudov was born on May 9, 1972, in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Upl.uz.

His mother was an athlete, and his father was an engineer. In his childhood, Farhod was an ordinary boy who often engaged in games and did not show much interest in studying.

One day, he skipped a drawing class and accidentally ended up at the filming site of "Uzbekfilm" studio. There, an assistant director noticed him and offered Farhod a small role.

From that moment on, his acting career began. Later, he appeared in a short film called "Qarash" and the comedy "Sharqiy firibgar," which brought him his first fame in Tashkent.

Communicating with actors studying at VGIK inspired Farhod to move to Moscow and enter this prestigious university. Getting into VGIK was not easy.

That year, the course was only open to students from Tajikistan, and Farhod did not meet the requirements because he was Uzbek. He tried to establish connections with the Tajik film industry, but it did not help.

Nevertheless, the famous actor Mikhail Gluzskiy saw his talent and helped him find a place through the State Film Committee. When the teacher was looking for an actor suitable for the "hero-love hero" image, Mahmudov was just right for that role.

At VGIK, he studied alongside Ksenia Kachalina, Ivan Okhlobystin, and Yevgeny Stychkin, which was an important stage in his professional development. Events in his personal life also unfolded alongside his acting career.

In the seventh grade, Farhod fell in love with his classmate Svetlana. Although the feelings were strong, the relationship ended soon.

His next love occurred while studying at VGIK. The girl he chose was named Inna, a student from the economics faculty from Nagorno-Karabakh.

However, due to the problematic situation in her homeland, Inna returned home and did not come back to Moscow. Farhod found it hard to accept the breakup but continued his career.

After graduating from VGIK, Farhod began working at the Moscow Drama Theater under the direction of Yevgeny Simonov. However, soon the director fell seriously ill and passed away, leaving the theater in a difficult situation.

Mahmudov was planning to return to Tashkent, but he decided to try himself in other theaters. Thus, he joined the team of Roman Viktuk, who was at the beginning of his career.

During this period, the actor's life was unstable: he did not have his own home and lived with a friend in an old, dangerous house. With the arrival of winter, he had to look for a new place to live.

Fortunately, the theater's tours brought in initial earnings, and Farhod was able to rent a room. In the 1990s, Mahmudov easily adapted to the cultural life of Moscow.

According to him, the theater's constant tours helped him avoid the problems that many faced during that time. He focused on work and kept himself busy.

In his personal life, there were also attempts to start a family. At one point, he dated a girl from Tashkent, but the differences in mentality led to the end of the relationship, and the girl returned to her homeland.

Later, Farhod entered into a sham marriage with his colleague Ekaterina Karpushina to resolve citizenship issues. This marriage lasted 15 years, but each had their own personal life and separate homes.

At the age of 28, Farhod met 17-year-old Dina. The girl fell in love with the actor, who was then famous for his role as Fara in the series "Brigada."

Mahmudov got this role due to his friendship with director Aleksey Sidorov. When Sidorov was graduating from the Higher Film Courses, Farhod played a free role in his short film,
