In February, the dollar exchange rate increased by 62.53 soms

According to the analysis results based on the exchange rates announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, in February 2026, 1 US dollar increased by 62.53 soms against the Uzbek som. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The increase in the dollar exchange rate in February is related to several internal and external factors. In particular, the strengthening of the US dollar in global financial markets and the Federal Reserve's strict monetary policy intensified pressure on the currencies of developing countries.
At the same time, the increase in import volume at the beginning of the year, foreign currency payments on external obligations, and the rise in seasonal demand significantly increased the demand for dollars in the domestic market. Since a floating exchange rate has been introduced in Uzbekistan, the exchange rate is formed based on market mechanisms.
This led to the rise in the dollar exchange rate under the influence of the factors mentioned above. According to the Central Bank's data, changes in the currency market are mainly a natural consequence of economic processes.
