The Central Bank announced changes in exchange rates

The Central Bank of Uzbekistan announced new official exchange rates of foreign currencies against the Uzbek som, effective from March 3, 2026. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to this information, various changes were observed in the values of major foreign currencies. The US dollar appreciated slightly, with its official rate increasing by 18.39 soms to reach 12,190.57 soms.
The euro value, however, decreased significantly by 53.89 soms, setting the rate at 14,303.20 soms per euro. The Russian ruble also rose slightly, with its rate increasing by 0.03 soms to 157.48 soms.
Changes were also observed in other currencies. For example, the British pound sterling depreciated by 111.73 soms, reaching 16,302.45 soms.
The Chinese yuan's value decreased by 3.62 soms, equaling 1,771.22 soms. The Swiss franc, on the other hand, appreciated by 40.12 soms, reaching 15,786.80 soms.
These changes are related to international economic conditions and movements in the currency market.
