The Central Bank announced a decrease in exchange rates

The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has announced new values of foreign currencies against the Uzbek som. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the new data, a decrease is observed in most major foreign currencies. For example, the US dollar exchange rate has decreased to 12,179.81 soms.
This currency has become cheaper by 30.05 soms compared to the previous rate. The euro rate also dropped by 31.22 soms, setting it at 14,139.54 soms.
The Russian ruble decreased by 0.8 soms, reaching 156.73 soms. However, some currencies showed an upward trend.
The British pound sterling rate increased by 35.55 soms, reaching 16,273.44 soms. The Swiss franc strengthened by 11.22 soms, recorded at 15,547.37 soms.
Additionally, the Chinese yuan was set at 1,762.79 soms, and the Japanese yen at 77.48 soms. These changes will take effect from March 5, 2026.
