The Central Bank Announced New Exchange Rates

The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan has announced new official exchange rates for major foreign currencies against our national currency, effective from March 11, 2026. Zamin.uz reported on this news.
These updates are of great importance to participants in the financial market, traders, and ordinary citizens, serving as a basis for making financial plans related to foreign currencies in the coming days. According to the data announced by the bank, various changes are being observed in the currency market, and each currency has its own unique dynamics.
The exchange rate of the US dollar decreased significantly today, reaching 12,158 som, which is slightly less than twelve thousand one hundred fifty-eight som. This situation implies a decrease of nearly forty-three som compared to previous days.
At the same time, the Russian ruble also became slightly cheaper, exceeding 153 som. The Japanese yen remains stable around seventy-seven som.
On the other hand, the euro, considered the currency of the European Union, has appreciated and approached fourteen thousand one hundred seventy som. This figure indicates an increase of more than twenty-five som compared to previous days.
The British pound sterling has also significantly appreciated, reaching fifteen thousand three hundred fifty som. The Swiss franc and the Chinese yuan have also entered the list of currencies that have slightly increased their value.
These changes directly affect international trade exchange and the overall state of the economy.
