Production volumes in the automotive industry of Uzbekistan have increased significantly

Positive growth is being observed in the automotive industry of Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to data published by the National Statistics Committee, in January and February 2026, a total of sixty-eight buses were produced in our country. This figure represents a significant increase compared to the same period last year. In particular, the volume of bus production increased by 47.8 units compared to last year.
The passenger car production sector is also actively developing. During the reporting period, more than 64 thousand passenger cars were assembled in the territory of Uzbekistan. Among the manufactured vehicles, Cobalt-branded cars accounted for the largest share. More than 23 thousand units of this model were produced, maintaining market leadership.
Work is being carried out on new projects to expand the activities of industrial enterprises. It was previously reported that a new enterprise in the Samarkand region producing ten thousand vehicles per year was planned to be established. Such measures will serve to increase the number of jobs in the country and raise the potential of local production.
These statistics show that the automotive sector is developing sustainably and production volumes are regularly increasing to meet the needs of the domestic market. In the future, the processes of localization of vehicles are expected to accelerate even further.
