The mayor of Tashkent, Shavkat Umurzakov, has made a decision to establish special parks for growing trees and shrubs in each district. This was reported by Upl.uz.
In these parks, tree and shrub seedlings will be propagated, mainly using cuttings and seeds. According to the plan, more than 570,000 seedlings are expected to be produced.
They will include Indian jasmine, Syrian flower, Japanese quince, and other types of plants. In particular, 300,000 seedlings will be planted in the area of the limited liability company "Scenic Gardening and Floriculture" on Uzor Street in the Sergeli district.
Interestingly, this decision was made on July 17, the same day discussions began regarding the moratorium on cutting plants.
It should be noted that previously, a deputy in Uzbekistan did not understand the citizens' protests against tree cutting, yet remained silent on the beer festival. This situation sparked various reactions in the public.
The establishment of new parks will contribute to increasing the greenery of the city and protecting the environment. This initiative is considered an important step in ensuring ecological sustainability.
