A doctor from the branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care in Tashkent was arrested on charges of sexual assault. This was reported by Upl.uz.
The incident occurred in the patient's room. 43-year-old Z.T.
was under the influence of alcohol and committed sexual acts under the pretext of conducting a medical examination. This was reported by the news agency "UzNews.uz," citing the decision of the Sergeli district court on criminal cases.
According to court documents, Z.T. entered the patient's room and closed the windows and doors.
Then he grabbed the woman, touched her breasts and genitalia, and performed indecent acts. He removed the woman's underwear.
The victim was in a state of psychological distress and could not resist. After the incident, when the woman tried to leave the hospital, the chief doctor did not allow this and left her in the room with other patients.
Only the next day did the woman leave the hospital and contact law enforcement agencies. During the court proceedings, Z.T.
fully admitted his guilt, expressed remorse, and asked for forgiveness from the victim and her mother. The court took into account his admission of guilt and the fact that he was under the influence of alcohol.
According to the court's decision, Z.T. was found guilty under Article 41-1 of the Administrative Responsibility Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Sexual Assault) and was sentenced to five days of administrative detention.
