The diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Islamabad carried out extensive measures to assist an Uzbek citizen facing serious life difficulties in Pakistan to return home. This was reported by Upl.uz.
The "Dunyo" news agency confirmed this successful repatriation case. The incident developed when the woman personally approached the consular section of the embassy.
In her application, she stated that she was in an extremely difficult social and material situation, lacking financial means to meet basic life needs and pay for housing. The situation was assessed as one requiring urgent intervention, and therefore the diplomatic mission staff established special monitoring over the case of the compatriot woman.
Within the framework of consular-legal assistance, a certificate for her return to the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan was promptly issued. This special document certifies the individual and grants the right to enter the country once in case the passport is lost or rendered invalid.
The financial issue related to purchasing an airline ticket was resolved through the cooperation of embassy staff and generous sponsors among compatriots. As a result, the woman was provided with a ticket for the Islamabad-Tashkent flight, and she arrived in the capital on time.
This case is part of the systematic work being carried out by Uzbekistan's foreign policy agencies to protect the rights and interests of citizens abroad. Recently, another Uzbek woman, who was a victim of domestic violence in the Russian Federation and returned with her children, served as an example of effective intervention.
Her husband had threatened her against returning home while engaging in illegal labor activities and had taken her passport. The return certificate issued to the woman is considered a temporary document.
Its validity period usually does not exceed 30 days, and it must be submitted to the internal affairs authorities at the place of residence within three days after arriving in Uzbekistan. After that, the main passport is restored.
