The State Security Service reports that a state tax service employee has been detained. This was reported by Upl.uz.
The Bukhara city tax inspection had imposed a fine on the responsible person for failing to submit reports on time from November 2024 to February 2025. Subsequently, the debt collection process was handed over to the city enforcement bureau.
However, the responsible person appealed to the Bukhara city court, and the court decision annulled the fine. Nevertheless, an employee of the Bukhara city tax inspection demanded 400 US dollars from the manager to lift the ban imposed on the company's property and bank accounts, disregarding this decision.
As a result, the tax officer was caught while receiving the 400 dollars. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against him, and investigative actions are underway.
This case is considered an important part of the fight against corruption in the tax system. Open and fair court proceedings are ongoing.
