
According to the press service of the capital's Internal Affairs Directorate, individuals involved in distributing drug-related stash houses have been apprehended. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Special operational activities were conducted in the Mirabad district in cooperation with employees of the internal affairs agencies, the National Security Service, and other law enforcement agencies. During the operation, a citizen was caught with 19 packages containing narcotic substances on Abdulla Qahhor Street, and it was also determined that he had managed to distribute 3 packages before being apprehended.
It was revealed that this individual found work through social media due to financial difficulties. He was offered options from the Chilonzor, Sergeli, and Mirabad districts, and he chose to start working in Mirabad.
In another case, a suspicious citizen was stopped, and during the inspection, 30 packages of narcotics were found under his control. It was discovered that he had found this job through the "Telegram" messenger.
In both cases, a criminal case was initiated under part 5 of article 273 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. This article refers to committing other actions for the purpose of illegally producing, purchasing, storing, and selling narcotic substances.
Criminals may face a penalty of up to 20 years of imprisonment. Law enforcement agencies are asking citizens to cooperate in actively combating the spread of narcotic substances.
