
From January to June 2025, more than 3.5 million citizens of Uzbekistan traveled abroad for tourism purposes. This was reported by Upl.uz.
This information is based on data from the State Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Compared to the same period last year, the number of travelers increased by 810,000 or 29.7 percent.
The most trips abroad were made to neighboring countries. In particular, 1,527,303 citizens traveled to Kyrgyzstan, 664,669 to Kazakhstan, and 631,660 to Tajikistan.
Additionally, 230,412 citizens traveled to Russia, 145,294 to Saudi Arabia, and 102,000 to Turkey. The number of travelers to other countries is as follows: 72,729 to the UAE, 30,959 to Egypt, 16,671 to Thailand, 16,179 to Vietnam, and a total of 102,622 citizens visited other countries.
These figures indicate a growing interest among citizens of Uzbekistan in traveling abroad. In particular, trips to neighboring countries and nearby geographic areas are prevalent, reflecting the strengthening of cultural and economic ties between these regions.
The government continues to implement measures to make travel more convenient and safe.
