
The press service of the State Security Service reported that a citizen of Bukhara region, born in 1997, was detained by the employees of the internal affairs bodies in the Yakkasaroy district of Tashkent city. This was reported by Upl.uz.
This individual was caught while receiving an advance payment of 3000 US dollars. During the investigation, it was revealed that he introduced himself as an employee of a large tourism company and gained the trust of three citizens from Tashkent city, Tashkent region, and Kashkadarya region.
He promised to arrange all the necessary documents for them to work in Croatia and demanded a total of 6000 dollars for such services. In this way, a citizen of Namangan city, born in 1999, was detained while receiving a 3900 dollar advance in the Yangi-Namangan district of Namangan region.
As a result of the investigation, it was found that he had received a total of 7800 dollars from three citizens for helping them find jobs in Croatia and preparing all necessary documents. In both cases, a criminal case has been initiated under part 2 of the article "Fraud" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which prescribes a penalty of up to five years of imprisonment for this crime.
