
According to the press service of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department, a person distributing drug-related stash spots has been arrested. This was reported by Upl.uz.
In cooperation with the internal affairs officers and representatives of the National Security Service, a special rapid operation was conducted in the Sergeli district. During the operation, one individual was stopped and inspected, and 64 packages of narcotics were found among his personal belongings.
It was revealed that this person had previously been convicted nine times for various crimes, including under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan articles on “Theft,” “Fraud,” and “Robbery.” A criminal case was initiated against him under Article 273, Part 5 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan — “Illegal production, purchase, storage, and other actions with narcotic substances carried out for the purpose of sale.”
The person who committed the crime may face up to 20 years of imprisonment. The internal affairs bodies and the National Security Service are actively working to combat narcotics.
This incident is considered an important step in ensuring the rule of law and guaranteeing the safety of citizens.
