An individual who promised to arrange a job in exchange for a bribe was detained by State Security Service officers. This was reported by Upl.uz.
In connection with this case, officers from the State Security Service and the Prosecutor General's Office department jointly conducted a special rapid operation. During the operation, a high-ranking employee was caught receiving an advance payment of 3500 US dollars as a bribe, pre-marked with a special chemical substance, at the administrative building of the Shahrisabz district Emergency Situations Department.
Investigation revealed that this person had promised to help secure driver positions in the fire-rescue departments of Shahrisabz and Chirakchi districts for a total of 6000 US dollars. A criminal case was initiated under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan for “Fraud” and “Bribery” in connection with this incident.
The suspect has been arrested.
