
The press service of the Traffic Safety Department of the Tashkent Region Internal Affairs Directorate reported a case of narcotic substance possession. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Traffic patrol officers conducted an urgent preventive operation within the framework of the “Safe and Healthy Country” program. During the operation, a “Matiz” model car was stopped in the Bostanliq district.
The passenger of the car, born in 1990, appeared suspicious. Therefore, law enforcement officers conducted a personal search and discovered a narcotic substance resembling marijuana.
It was revealed that the suspect had hidden the narcotic inside a two-thousand-som banknote. Relevant documents were drawn up regarding this case, the individual was detained and taken to the Bostanliq district Internal Affairs Department.
Preliminary investigation actions are currently underway. He may face criminal liability under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan for “Illegal production, purchase, storage, and other unauthorized actions with narcotic substances.”
