
According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, individuals involved in the illegal circulation of narcotic substances have been detained. This was reported by Upl.uz.
On August 12 of this year, based on information received by the unified call center, a special rapid operation was conducted by the National Security Service and internal affairs bodies. During the operation, a vehicle of the "Equinox" model was stopped at the "Sirdaryo" checkpoint.
The driver of the vehicle, a citizen born in 1997, was found to have concealed narcotic substances in the car during the inspection, including 600 grams of hashish, 3 grams of opium, and 44 psychotropic "Regapen" pills. Additionally, 146 grams of hashish were found on the passenger.
According to the information, the suspects attempted to deliver the narcotics to a buyer in the Zangiota district of Tashkent region. Based on the obtained data, a resident of Zangiota district was detained.
It was revealed that this individual had previously been convicted under the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan for "Illegal production, purchase, storage, and other actions related to narcotic substances." Two cannabis plants were also found at his residence.
Currently, investigative actions are being carried out regarding this case. The internal affairs bodies continue to combat narcotic substances and ask citizens to report such incidents.
