According to the press service of the Fergana regional internal affairs department, a person demanding money has been arrested. This was reported by Upl.uz.
On August 12, a special rapid operation was conducted by internal affairs officers. During the operation, a male individual was detained, and it was revealed that he had received 1200 US dollars previously treated with a special chemical substance.
It was found that this person demanded money by threatening to distribute intimate videos of a girl. A criminal case has been initiated under the “Extortion” article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding this incident.
Currently, investigative actions are underway. One of the minimum penalties under this article is imprisonment for up to 5 years.
