The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan has approved the procedure for allocating subsidies to cover the costs of providing drinking water to certain families in Karakalpakstan and Khorezm regions. This was reported by Upl.uz.
This decision is established by the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution No. 515 dated August 14, 2025. The new procedure regulates the mechanism for providing financial assistance to families included in the register of poor families and residing in the specified areas.
The subsidy is intended to cover the following expenses: drilling artesian wells, purchasing and installing pumps and filters for drinking water. The subsidy amount covers 90 percent of the incurred expenses but must not exceed 30 times the base calculation value.
The drilling and equipment installation services are provided by registered entrepreneurs who assist the population in accessing clean drinking water. All processes are carried out through the "Unified National Social Protection System" information platform.
To receive the subsidy, a family member or their legal representative must be an adult and capable of working. They apply to the "Inson" centers or social workers in the mahalla.
These organizations submit the request into the system. Once the application is approved, the applicant receives an automatic notification, and the entrepreneur visits the residence to perform the necessary work.
