
According to the press service of the Jizzakh regional Department of Internal Affairs, a case of bribery has been identified. This was reported by Upl.uz.
A special rapid operation was conducted in cooperation with officers of the internal affairs bodies, the National Security Service, and the Prosecutor's Office. During the operation, a high-ranking employee of school No. 16 in Jizzakh city was caught taking a bribe.
During the arrest, 11 million soums were seized, which were marked with a special chemical substance. It was revealed that the accused had previously received an advance of 5 million soums and promised to help place two teachers at the school for a total of 16 million soums.
A criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, concerning the offense of bribery. The accused may face a sentence of imprisonment from 5 to 10 years.
