According to the press service of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department, individuals involved in the illegal circulation of narcotic substances have been apprehended. This was reported by Upl.uz.
A special rapid operation was conducted by law enforcement officers in the Yangihayot district. During the operation, personal searches and inspections of residences of three men were carried out.
During the inspection, large quantities of various narcotic substances were found both on their persons and in their homes, with a total of 4.55 kilograms of narcotics seized. One of them claimed that the discovered narcotics were kept for personal use.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 273, Part 5 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan — “Illegal production, purchase, storage, and other actions related to narcotic substances, including their sale.” Currently, these individuals have been detained following procedural rules and may face imprisonment for up to 20 years.
All necessary measures are being taken by law enforcement agencies to ensure legality and combat drug addiction.
