A video circulated on social networks showing a group of citizens beating two men and causing bodily injuries. It was revealed that the incident occurred around 04:30 on June 8 of this year in the Asaka district.
During the altercation, individuals born in 2003, 2002, and 2001 inflicted minor bodily injuries on a citizen born in 2004, and moderate bodily injuries on a person born in 1997. It should be noted that the criminals brutally beat the victims who were lying down, despite the presence of a law enforcement officer at the scene.
On the same day, a criminal case was initiated against the offenders under Article 3, Clause "Hooliganism" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and a preventive measure of detention was applied to them. On July 8 of this year, the case was sent to court.
On August 27, 2023, the criminal court of the inter-district court of Asaka sentenced the three criminals to three years of restriction of liberty. This punishment is the mildest penalty applied to the criminals.
