
According to the press service of the Bukhara region Internal Affairs Department, a person engaged in drug trafficking was apprehended. This was reported by Upl.uz.
On August 21 of this year, law enforcement officers conducted a special rapid operation. During the operation, a male citizen born in 1998 was caught selling 2.91 grams of marijuana in the G‘ijduvon district.
He intended to sell this drug for 500 thousand soums. Additionally, 2.05 grams of marijuana were found among his personal belongings, which were also planned to be sold to subsequent buyers.
On this matter, a criminal case was initiated under Article 273, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. According to this article, illegal production, purchase, storage, use, and other actions aimed at selling narcotic substances are punishable by imprisonment from 5 to 7 years.
