L3Harris and Palantir improve anti-drone systems with the help of artificial intelligence

US defense corporation L3Harris and data analytics company Palantir have begun working together to implement artificial intelligence technologies to improve military equipment. One.uz reports this.
The main goal is to increase the effectiveness of systems against Vampire drones delivered to Ukraine, detect unmanned vehicles faster, and track targets autonomously. This partnership highlights the growing role of artificial intelligence in modern warfare.
Details of technological integration L3Harris plans to combine Nvidia Nemotron AI models and Palantir software to provide military systems with intelligent management. This approach allows L3Harris to maintain full control over all operational data, algorithms, and computing infrastructure while enabling the creation of its own proprietary military AI models.
Once the models are fully developed, they will be used directly in military encounters to make independent decisions and accelerate the target striking process. Advantages and role of the Vampire system Vampire (Vehicle-Agnostic Modular Palletized ISR Rocket Equipment) systems possess high mobility in ensuring air security.
The system is easily installed on the back of pickup trucks and other light utility vehicles, using high-precision rockets controlled by laser to strike down drones. In January 2023, the Pentagon signed a $40 million contract to deliver 14 Vampire systems to Ukraine.
In 2025 reports, these systems were also noted as part of the main military aid the US is providing to Kyiv. The integration of artificial intelligence into these systems is expected to open a new technological stage in drone warfare.
