
A 35-year-old Uzbek citizen was sentenced in the Turkistan region of Kazakhstan. This was reported by Upl.uz.
He was accused of repeatedly raping an eighth-grade student. The court found him guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
The accused did not admit his guilt. According to the special interdistrict criminal court of the Turkistan region, this person was suspected under the Criminal Code article "Rape."
In mid-2024, he came to the Republic of Kazakhstan to carry out construction work. While working in a house in the Keles district, he took advantage of the helpless condition of a girl born in 2011 living in the neighboring house and had sexual intercourse with her several times without her consent.
The prosecutor demanded a life sentence, and the court fully satisfied this demand. The victim's mother found out about her daughter's pregnancy after taking her to the clinic due to abdominal pain.
Doctors reported that the girl was in the seventh month of pregnancy. According to the mother, the accused threatened the girl with defamation by saying she had "betrayed" him.
The girl remained silent for a long time, and the incident was accidentally revealed. The court found the accused guilty under Article 120, Part 4 of the Criminal Code and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
The verdict was announced on August 25, 2024. So far, there is no information about the accused filing an appeal.
