
Planned maintenance work is starting on the cold water supply networks in the city of Tashkent. This was reported by Upl.uz.
As a result of these activities, water supply will be temporarily suspended in some areas of the city. According to the official statement released by the press service of the Tashkent City Water Supply Joint Stock Company, these works are being carried out as part of preparations for the 2025 autumn-winter season.
The main goal is to strengthen infrastructure, prevent water supply emergencies, and ensure stability during periods of high demand. The water supply interruption will begin on September 8 and continue until October 10.
The city administration will organize the delivery of drinking water in the areas where water supply will be suspended to ensure the convenience of residents. These activities will be carried out with the help of special equipment.
The planned repair and maintenance work will be carried out in the following stages. On September 8-10, water supply will be temporarily suspended in the Uchtepa and Mirzo Ulugbek districts.
In particular, Chilonzor-15 neighborhood, Bogobod, Qadimgi Chupunota and Birlik neighborhoods, as well as Karasu-1, 2, 4 blocks in Mirzo Ulugbek district and Avoixon and Temur Malik streets will be disconnected from water. On September 9-10, many neighborhoods in Mirzo Ulugbek and Yashnobod districts, the Academy of Internal Affairs, and district heating points will be deprived of water supply.
From 23:00 on the night of September 9 until 07:00 on September 10, Oltiariq, Buyuk Ipak Yo‘li streets, Parkent and Karasu blocks, as well as several important facilities including embassies, the Prosecutor General’s Office, and the Presidential School will be disconnected from water. Repair works will continue in Almazar, Uchtepa, and Yakkasaroy districts from September 10 to 18.
On September 10-11, Beshqurghan-2, 3, 4 quarters in Almazar district will be disconnected from water supply. Water supply will be temporarily suspended during nighttime hours in Uchtepa and Yakkasaroy districts.
These areas include Rakatboshi, Shohjahon neighborhoods, the UAE and Pakistan embassies, as well as two major higher education institutions. On September 15-16 in Almazar and September 16-17 in Yakkasaroy districts, many houses along Bobur, Nukus streets, and Abdulla Qahhor road will be disconnected from water.
From September 18 to 30, extensive maintenance work will be carried out in Mirzo Ulugbek, Uchtepa, Almazar, Chilonzor, Shaykhontohur, and Yunusobod districts. On September 18-19, more than ten neighborhoods in Mirzo Ulugbek, as well as medical and scientific institutions, will be disconnected from water supply.
On September 22, repair work will continue on Karasaroy and Zarkaynar streets in Almazar district. On September 23-24, water supply will be temporarily suspended in other areas of Mirzo Ulugbek district, including the Czech embassy and several universities.
Nighttime water interruptions in Chilonzor and Shaykhontohur districts are planned for September 23-25. On September 25-26, water supply will be cut off in Ibn Sino-1 and 2 blocks of Shaykhontohur district.
At the end of the month, on September 29-30, water supply will be suspended in Mirzo Ulugbek and Yunusobod districts, including the areas of the Chinese and Latvian embassies and the Yunusobod farmers' market. Maintenance work will be completed from October 2 to 10.
On October 2-3, water supply will again be temporarily suspended in some neighborhoods of Mirzo Ulugbek and Shaykhontohur districts. On the night of October 3-4, water interruptions will be observed in Yashnobod, Mirzo Ulugbek, Sergeli, and Yangihayot districts.
