When there are not enough dormitory places for students of state higher education institutions, they are given the opportunity to partially cover their rent expenses. This was reported by Upl.uz.
This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan. According to the legislation, students of state higher education institutions who are not provided with a dormitory and live in rented housing that does not belong to them or their parents will receive a partial monthly rent compensation.
The amount of this compensation is set at 412,000 soums per month (1 base calculation value) in Tashkent city, and 206,000 soums per month (0.5 base calculation value) in other regions. If several students live in one apartment, each of them is entitled to receive this subsidy, provided that all are listed in the rental agreement.
To receive the compensation, students must prepare a special application and the necessary documents and submit them to the deputy dean for youth affairs or to the department coordinating student housing issues. The required documents include the application form filled out in two copies and a copy of the rental agreement.
This procedure helps students reduce their rental living expenses and supports their educational process.
