Shahbaz Sharif about Shavkat Mirziyoyev: “He transformed Uzbekistan again”

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif described the decrease in poverty levels and the increase in trade indicators in Uzbekistan as a miracle. He made this statement during a meeting with media representatives at the conclusion of the Uzbekistan-Pakistan summit on February 26.

“If I am not mistaken, in 2016, the poverty level in Uzbekistan was 42 percent, and the trade indicators were also low. Today, the poverty level has dropped to 8 percent, and the volume of investments has reached 30 billion. Isn't that a great miracle?!,” said the Prime Minister.

Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif spoke about how Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has transformed the country since coming to power.

“From the very first days of your governance, you have transformed Uzbekistan. You have revitalized society,” said the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

According to Shahbaz Sharif, such results cannot be achieved through grand statements or merely by organizing a good council.

“Miracles arise through clear visions, high dynamics, relentless work, and a bold pursuit of a unified goal. I have seen such noble qualities in you,” he said.

The President of Uzbekistan noted that the meetings were productive and emphasized that this historic visit would open a new chapter in Uzbekistan-Pakistan strategic partnership. He highly appreciated the rapid development of bilateral cooperation in recent years.
