The Tashkent city IIBB Road Traffic Safety Department reported that a narcotic substance was found next to a citizen at the "Sharq" YPX post located in the Bektemir district, and it was handed over to the Bektemir district IIO FMB for legal action.
“During the service at the Sharq YPX post, the YPX officers stopped a vehicle of the Onix brand, and during the conversation with the driver, a person arriving as a passenger in the car raised suspicions among the officers with his actions. When this person was checked in the presence of witnesses, a narcotic substance hidden among his clothes was discovered and was taken to the Bektemir district IIO FMB in accordance with the procedure,” the report states.
IIV press secretary Shohrux G'iyosov stated that the information in the media suggesting that the suspect is specifically "singer Shahriyor" is far from the truth.
“Disseminating such information grossly violates the requirements of the presumption of innocence stipulated in Article 23 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as Article 14 of the Law on Personal Data of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Article 6 of the Law on Mass Media.
