Employees who were laid off were paid billions of soms

In Uzbekistan, 61 billion sums of wages were refunded to citizens who were illegally dismissed from work, according to official sources report.
On February 28, a press conference on the topic of "Activities, innovations, and digitization in the enforcement system" was held at the AOKA. Leaders of the Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement (BPI) under the Prosecutor General's Office participated in it.
According to Shavkat Haydarov, the first deputy director of BPI, the system for enforcing court decisions in Uzbekistan is being improved. During this period, enforcement documents worth 3.6 trillion sums were executed, which is 460 billion sums more than the same period last year.
In addition, 15 regional departments managed to collect 95.5 billion sums using modern technologies, without compulsory enforcement actions.
BPI has implemented systematic measures to ensure the execution of documents of social importance:
179 billion sums were collected for underprivileged children;
1,800 unemployed debtors were provided with jobs;
1,200 families were reconciled;
925 illegally dismissed employees were reinstated and paid 61 billion sums in wages.
Additionally, through the "Alimony Payments Fund," 218 creditors were paid 918.1 billion sums. 68 citizens who were dismissed due to violations of labor laws were reinstated, and unpaid wages amounting to 40 billion sums were refunded to them.
BPI improved the system for informing debtors about the initiation of enforcement proceedings and current restrictions. Citizens received 9.9 million SMS messages, resulting in 71,000 enforcement cases being voluntarily executed on time, which is 53.7% more than in 2023.
