Uzbekistan and Afghanistan aim to increase trade volume to 3 billion dollars

Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov met with Afghan Minister of Trade Nuruddin Aziziy in Surkhandarya region, the ministry's press service reported.
The delegation led by Laziz Kudratov and Nuruddin Aziziy visited the "Termiz" International Trade Center in Surkhandarya region. The meeting discussed the current state of Uzbekistan-Afghanistan trade and economic relations and prospects for their development.

“During the conversation, specific measures were outlined to increase mutual trade volume to 3 billion dollars,” the report states.
It was noted that, in addition to trade, further events were discussed to expand mutually beneficial cooperation and industrial cooperation in agriculture, textiles, pharmaceuticals, food, and mining industries.

During the visit, B2B negotiations were organized with the participation of about 60 entrepreneurs from both sides. Business representatives had the opportunity to discuss practical aspects of establishing new connections, implementing new joint projects, and trade agreements.
