
Incorrect information has spread on social networks and messengers about the expenditure of 198 million dollars for the renovation of Shota Rustaveli Street. This was reported by Upl.uz.
The press service of the Tashkent city administration commented on this situation. It was noted that the indicated amount is the total budget for a comprehensive program to modernize approximately 200 kilometers of road infrastructure in the capital.
The work will be carried out in stages on several major highways of the city. The first phase of the renovation includes the following roads: Shota Rustaveli Street, Amir Temur Avenue, Shahrisabz and Yangi Sergeli Streets, as well as the construction of a major road facility in the Olmazar district.
The total cost of the first phase is 50 million dollars. The project is being implemented with the participation of "TIC Engineering" company, "Tashkent Invest Company" joint-stock company, and the Chinese contractor "China State Construction Engineering Corporation".
