Polat Bobojonov has been appointed to a new position

By presidential decree, General-Lieutenant Po‘lat Bobojonov, who has held the position of Minister of Internal Affairs, has been appointed as the Deputy Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan on personnel policy issues. This was reported by the press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
He will now serve as the deputy to the President's advisor on personnel policy issues, G‘ofurjon Mirzayev.
It was previously reported that Aziz Toshpo‘latov, who had been serving as the head of the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs, was appointed as the Minister of Internal Affairs, and in this regard, Po‘lat Bobojonov was relieved of his position.
Po‘lat Bobojonov (born in 1961) has been managing the Ministry of Internal Affairs since September 2017.
He previously served as a prosecutor in Bukhara and Jizzakh regions and worked as the governor of Khorezm region from 2012 to 2017.
