By presidential decree, Aziz Toshpolatov has been appointed as the Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan. This was reported by the president's press secretary.

On March 3, during the next session of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, deputies reviewed and approved the candidacy of Aziz Toshpolatov for the position of Minister of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Prior to his appointment, Aziz Toshpolatov served as the head of the Tashkent City Department of Internal Affairs. Po‘lat Bobojonov had been leading the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan since September 2017.
About Aziz Toshpolatov
He served as the head of the Namangan region's Internal Affairs Department from 2015 to 2017. From November 2017 to June 2019, he led the Samarkand region's Internal Affairs Department. In June 2019, he was appointed as the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs. Since March 2020, he has held the position of head of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Department. He was awarded the rank of Major General in 2021.
