The press service of the State Security Service reported that the deputy prosecutor of Gulistan city in the Sirdaryo region was caught taking a bribe in his office. This was reported by Upl.uz.
It has been revealed that this individual received $10,000 as a bribe from the head of an organization operating in the agricultural sector in the Bayaut district. The deputy prosecutor promised to assist the head of the organization in changing the precautionary measures imposed on the defendants in criminal cases.
The defendants are being investigated under the articles of "Fraud" and "Theft by way of embezzlement or waste" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan. A criminal case has been initiated regarding this incident under the articles of "Fraud" and "Assisting in bribery" of the Criminal Code.
Currently, investigative actions are being carried out.
