According to the press service of the Department of Criminal Affairs, a person receiving a bribe of 10 million soums has been arrested. This was reported by Upl.uz.
During a special operation conducted in cooperation with the employees of the Kungrad district department, security services, and the internal affairs department, an employee of the district medical association was detained. This individual promised to assist another citizen in getting a job at this medical institution in exchange for an advance payment of 10 million soums.
He received a total of 2500 US dollars for this service. A criminal case has been initiated under the articles of "Fraud" and "Assisting in Bribery" of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding this case.
The investigation process is ongoing. This case demonstrates the effectiveness of measures being taken to combat corruption in state agencies.
