The case of energy theft has been confirmed, reports the press service of the Ministry of Energy. This was reported by Upl.uz.
Control measures to identify cases of illegal electricity consumption were carried out by employees of the "Energosavdo" branch of the regional electric networks joint-stock company. During the inspection, it was found that electricity was illegally used by a farm located in the Kasbi district of Kashkadarya region.
The owner of this farm used faulty equipment to connect to the power lines and did not sign a contract with the energy supply organization. According to preliminary estimates, the amount of damage caused is 2 billion 917 million 80 thousand soums.
The collected documents have been submitted to law enforcement agencies. Currently, initial investigative actions are being conducted.
