A new Regulation on the procedure for assigning and paying one-time material assistance to citizens released from penal institutions in Uzbekistan has been officially approved. This was reported by Upl.uz.
The press service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan announced that this government decision was adopted on July 16, 2025. The process of applying for material assistance, reviewing applications, and assigning assistance will be carried out through the "E-probation" information system.
To receive assistance, the applicant must personally apply to the district or city probation departments within one month from the day they are released from the penal institution. The authorized body will notify the applicant about the assignment of assistance within one working day and provide the details of a commercial bank for receiving the payment.
After receiving the notification, the beneficiary can apply to any branch of the commercial bank within one month. For this, an identification document or a certificate confirming their release from serving the sentence is required.
For information: the amount of assistance is set at six times the established value.
