During an inspection conducted by the Andijan region's Uzenergoinspektsiya department, cases of illegal use of natural gas were identified in two seven-story apartment buildings in the Shahrikhan district. This was reported by Upl.uz.
These houses were built by the limited liability company "U. I.
S." and were connected to the gas supply source without a contract with the gas supply organization. As a result of the inspection, the initial damage caused by the illegal use of natural gas was estimated at 943.1 million soums.
Currently, the collected documents regarding this case have been sent to law enforcement agencies, and preliminary investigative actions are underway. Individuals found guilty of illegal actions will be held criminally liable under the theft article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Punishments under this article can include imprisonment for up to 15 years. Therefore, citizens are advised to comply with legal regulations when using natural gas and to formalize a contract with the gas supply organization.
