Scandal of the indecent video, assassination attempt, divorce: What happened to Diana Yagofarova's fate?
Scandal of the indecent video, assassination attempt, divorce: What happened to Diana Yagofarova's fate?
Actress Diana Yagofarova, known not only in Uzbekistan but also in Russia and the CIS countries for her clever bride character in the film "Super Bride," celebrated her 36th birthday on February 27. It is hard to believe that Diana has only appeared in 4-5 films so far. After not being seen on screen for 15 years, the actress is now a mother of three children, a housewife, and has returned to active creativity. Childhood Diana Yagofarova was born on February 27, 1989, in Tashkent. Her father worked at an aviation factory, and her mother was a housewife. From a young age, she was interested in the film industry and began attending an acting skills club. The future actress studied with excellent grades in school. Beginning of Creativity Photo: Instagram Continuing to participate in the theater club, 18-year-old Diana caught the attention of the famous Uzbek film director Bahrom Yoqubov one day. It was Bahrom Yoqubov who invited Diana to try herself in cinema. Thus, Diana entered the world of creativity and played an episodic role in Bahrom Yoqubov's film titled "Abandoned" in 2008. Star Moments Photo: Instagram In 2008, the film "Super Bride," in which Diana played the lead role, was released in theaters. After the film's premiere, Diana became a true movie star. The film tells the story of an Uzbek guy who falls in love with a girl of Russian descent and the difficulties he faces in winning her heart. In turn, Diana's character also uses all her resources to win over a strict mother-in-law. In 2009, Diana starred in a romantic film called "Ichkuyov." In the same year, another film featuring the actress, "Zirapcha," was presented to the audience. After that, there was a noticeable break in Diana's creativity. Scandal Related to the Indecent Video Bahrom Yoqubov and Diana Yagofarova Photo: Instagram While Diana Yagofarova was being recognized as one of the most successful debutants in Uzbek cinema, and audiences were eagerly awaiting her new projects, the actress completely disappeared from the screens. This was due to the spread of an indecent video featuring a girl who looked very much like Diana. In an interview given several years later, the actress mentioned that she even attempted suicide because of that incident. — To put an end to this topic, I will say: I do not know where this video came from. I did not answer this question for 15 years. Because I do not have an answer to this question myself. But I understood how far people can go with their malicious actions. The video had a huge impact, and within minutes my whole life was ruined. At that time, I was famous throughout the country for my work, acting skills, and talent. But everything disappeared in an instant because of that video. It felt like a terrible nightmare. For some time, I did not go out at all. Later, when people would ask, 'Are you that Diana?', I would say, 'No, I am not her.' There were even times when I distanced myself from my own identity. This was my protective reaction at that time. I was an 18-year-old girl then. I had no one to lean on to teach me how to behave in such a situation. More than anyone, I was afraid of how my grandmother would react to these events. But my grandmother supported me, keeping her head held high in this sorrowful situation. I had to leave the country for some time. I was not in Uzbekistan for a month. My grandmother told me that this was a major provocation against me and comforted me. They have always supported me through good and bad times throughout my life. I do not know who spread this video. But the people in it look very much like us. The video spread like lightning, and everyone saw it. I want to emphasize one more thing: at that time, women's rights protection was not as developed as it is now. Today, this area has changed for the better. New laws are being adopted. There is a lot of talk about women's rights. But unfortunately, that was not the case back then, Diana says. Personal Life Photo: Instagram Diana Yagofarova married a guy named Murod Yunusxo‘jayev in 2009. The couple is said to have met through mutual friends at a restaurant. Murod saw Diana at a cultural event and immediately felt the desire to marry her. “At that time, I had two options. To go abroad and develop as an actress or to get married and dedicate myself to the family. Just as family is important for every woman, I chose the second option,” Diana said in one of her interviews. Murod and Diana lived together for 14 years. During this time, they became parents to three boys. In an interview given in 2024, the actress spoke about her divorce from her husband. Photo: Instagram — It has been a year since our marriage ended. For a year now, I have decided to leave home. We are currently in the process of divorce. We maintain friendly relations with my ex-husband. I must say that he is a very good father to the children. I currently have three sons. I have always dreamed of adopting a girl from an orphanage, the actress says. Return to Cinema Photo: Instagram Diana says that she has tried herself in many fields, but none of them have given her the joy that acting does. — During the 15-year break, I tried myself in many fields, but I realized that nothing gives me the joy that cinema does. Therefore, I decided to return to cinema. I started filming in new series for those who are not indifferent to my creativity. Diana Yagofarova starred in a comedy-crime film titled "Let's Go, Leave Everything" by Kazakh filmmakers in 2024. This film tells the story of two friends who consider themselves worthy of an "Oscar" but have not had much luck in real life and the difficult situation they find themselves in.

A fabric that has survived historical obstacles
A fabric that has survived historical obstacles
Bukhara is mentioned as one of the cities where craftsmanship and trade flourished. Especially, the fabrics produced by Bukhara artisans were already famous during the Mongol era. In one of the records left by Rashid al-Din, it is noted that three merchants set out from Bukhara towards China at a time when Genghis Khan was busy invading Northern China, and the merchants met with Genghis Khan, carrying products such as zarboft, zandanicha, and karpas. When Genghis Khan saw the products of Bukhara merchants, although their value was around 10-20 dinars, he gave one bolish of gold for a piece of zarboft. He ordered that one bolish of silver be paid for a piece of zandanicha and karpas fabric. Unfortunately, many types of craftsmanship in Bukhara were lost due to the Mongol invasion and subsequent struggles. This was the time when the zandanicha fabric first encountered the historical regime's obstacles. Nevertheless, it passed through this pass safely. For information: Zandanicha is one of the famous fabrics woven in Bukhara, and its name comes from the word "zandani." The word "zandani" actually refers to prisoners or captives. According to legend, this fabric may have originally been woven by prisoners in a prison. However, in other sources, the term "zandanicha" is associated with Bukhara's silk industry. This fabric is distinguished by its unique traditional patterns and weaving techniques. The fabric is hand-woven, primarily using silk or a blend of silk and cotton. It features bright colors and often has floral or geometric patterns, and it was used in ancient times for the garments of amirs, palace members, and wealthy merchants. During the Soviet era, zandanicha fabric underwent another phase of obstacles. During this time, the silk and textile industry became industrialized, and the production of traditional fabrics like zandanicha decreased somewhat. However, it is encouraging that the production of zandanicha fabric has continued to be preserved. Today, zandanicha is widely used in national clothing, home decorations, and national souvenirs. This fabric was first created by artisans in the village of Zandani, located in the Peshku district of Bukhara region. This village, situated 12 kilometers away from the district center, stands out from other ancient villages in the region due to its long history, nature, and ancient customs. Currently, around 800 residents live in the Zandani village, which is part of the "Zandani" neighborhood citizens' assembly area, with its fields adjacent to the Kyzylkum desert. In ancient times, this village consisted of hills, which were used as a fortress. To this day, some of these hills have been preserved, and thus the history of Zandani village is linked to deep and ancient roots. Historically, the term "Zandani" was first mentioned in the work "History of Bukhara" written by Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn Jafar Narshakhi in 943-944 AD (Hijri 332). This village had a large fortress, a congregational mosque, and markets. The fabric woven in Zandani was called "boz zandanicha," meaning "the fabric that comes from Zandana village." Similar fabrics produced in many villages of Bukhara, such as Vardonze, Iskajkat, Romitan, and Afshon, were also named similarly and were exported to India, the Near and Middle East, and European countries during the Middle Ages. According to Shohruh Amonov, the coordinator for the development of entrepreneurship in Bukhara region, Zandani village, which was the cradle of textile civilization, has become one of Bukhara's new tourist destinations. He states that the fame of zandanicha fabric was also high in the late Middle Ages. Rulers and dignitaries had garments made from this fabric and considered it an honor to wear it. - Even Amir Timur, before seizing power in Turan, left his sister and other relatives in the Zandani and Vardonze regions, making garments from this fabric for his family members. Zandanicha fabrics are richly decorated silk fabrics of Central Asia, which were once widely spread in the West and were a famous textile production center. Historical records indicate that the fabrics produced in this village near Bukhara flourished and later began to spread throughout the country. Centers producing zandanicha fabric multiplied. Nevertheless, its original name has continued to be preserved in other places, says Shohruh Amonov. It is known that this fabric was sent to India and Iraq, as it was highly valued by the noble classes of that time for its extreme softness, silkiness, and beauty. Even European queens loved to wear dresses made from Zandaniychi fabric. Special valuable fabrics were supplied for them. It is also a historical fact that the Arab caliphate's officials collected taxes not in money but in the famous Zandana fabric and carpets. - Although the homeland of silk is China, Zandanicha silk fabrics spread not only to the West and East but also to China itself. Specifically, there are records that a piece of fabric called parcha was sent from Bukhara to the Chinese emperor in 718-719 AD. Pieces of Zandaniychi fabrics produced in the 6th to 8th centuries are still preserved in several museums in Western Europe. A unique piece of silk fabric preserved in the cathedral of the city of Ypres in Belgium was studied by the French researcher D. Shepard, who found a customs inscription and seal written in ink on it and managed to read it, says Shohruh Amonov. For information: this inscription is in Sogdian script and serves as a reference regarding the length, size, and time of the fabric. The reading of this seal has clarified many ambiguities. D. Shepard has succeeded in identifying Zandaniychi fabrics preserved in several countries in Europe. It has also been found that similar fabrics exist among the finds at the Dun-Xuan site in Eastern Turkestan. It is said that zandanicha fabric is decorated with patterns consisting of medallions arranged in horizontal rows. Between the medallions, plant motifs are depicted, and other types of decorations consist of rhombuses, squares, and geometrically represented flowers, etc. The French researcher D. Shepard emphasized the unique colors of this fabric, such as bright yellow, white, blue, red, and green. According to the interlocutor, garments made from zandanicha fabrics have been widely depicted in the wall paintings of palaces and fortresses in Sogd, Tokharistan, and other regions of Central Asia during receptions and festive scenes. - Such fabrics mostly belong to the 6th to 8th centuries AD. In particular, the wall paintings discovered in Afrasiab show the extreme diversity of the decorations of the garments of noble figures. Narshakhi describes a large weaving workshop located at the eastern gate of Bukhara fortress, known as "Bait at-Turaz." There, during the 10th-11th centuries, a unique type of fabric called "zandanacha," which was highly valued during the caliphate period, was produced, not silk but cotton fabrics. Similar fabric pieces have also been found in archaeological excavations in the North Caucasus, he says. It is reported that in the 14th and 16th centuries, Zandaniychi fabric was in demand because it was made from cotton. Zandaniychi fabric became one of the cheapest, natural, and favorite imported fabrics for citizens in Western European cities, including the Baltic countries during the Middle Ages. - The village of Zandani in the Peshku district is considered one of the districts of the Bukhara emirate. This village served as one of the two supply centers for the regular army of the Bukhara emirate since 1856. Today, the ancient appearance of Zandani village has changed beyond recognition. Once a famous textile production center, a modern sewing and weaving factory has been opened in Zandani village to continue the traditions of fabric production, currently providing employment for over a hundred residents. Additionally, the region's long historical and traditional craftsmanship opportunities have been effectively utilized to attract tourists. For this purpose, practical work has begun to establish a workshop and museum for zandanicha fabric production in the village of Zandani in collaboration with the "Silk Museum" in Hangzhou, China, as well as to preserve and promote Bukhara's cultural heritage. Currently, Bukhara artisan master Ahmad Arabov, head of the "SD-Turkman Haly" company Solmaz Jumayeva, director of the "Bukhara Heritage" research center Robert Almeyev, and professor Mariachiara Gasparini from the University of Oregon's Department of Architecture History of China and Central Asia are working to establish international relations. Zandanicha fabric will continue to be a symbol of both our national culture and craftsmanship, says Shohruh Amonov. For information: currently, the historical appearance of Zandani village has been restored with the help of artificial intelligence and is in harmony with historical sources. Such efforts not only restore historical technologies but also strengthen international cultural ties, attract tourists, and create new jobs for the local population. Source: Xabar.uz

He accepted the order as usual, but a few minutes later, he received a call: the customer was a pregnant woman who needed to be taken to the hospital urgently. When Farhod arrived, the passenger and her mother-in-law got into the car. The journey was expected to take about 35 minutes, but due to traffic jams, the trip was prolonged. At the beginning of the trip, the driver encountered an unexpected situation—he heard a baby's cry from the back seat. The only thing that mattered was that the baby and the mother's condition were good," said the driver. Seeing traffic police on the road, Farhod explained the situation. They assisted the driver and followed the car, but due to the traffic jam, they couldn't go far. Nevertheless, Farhod managed to cover the distance in 20 minutes. I was amazed by this incident for several days," he said. According to Farhod, the woman's husband and relatives were waiting for her and expressed their gratitude. "Then the baby's grandmother prayed for me. I told her, 'This child will be your favorite grandchild.' The important thing is that everything ended well," added the taxi driver. Farhod does not consider himself a hero and says that anyone in his place would have done the same. His colleagues, hearing about the incident, nicknamed his car "Ambulance." Yandex Uzbekistan also expressed gratitude to him. Farhod is originally from Bukhara. He is living a happy life with his family—his wife and five children.

Scandal of the indecent video, assassination attempt, divorce: What happened to Diana Yagofarova's fate?
Scandal of the indecent video, assassination attempt, divorce: What happened to Diana Yagofarova's fate?
Actress Diana Yagofarova, known not only in Uzbekistan but also in Russia and other CIS countries for her role as a cunning bride in the film "Super Bride," celebrated her 36th birthday on February 27. It is hard to believe that Diana has only appeared in 4-5 films until now. After being absent from the screens for 15 years, the actress is now a mother of three children, a housewife, and has returned to active creativity. Thus, Diana entered the world of creativity and played a minor role in Bahrom Yoqubov's film titled "Abandoned" in 2008. Star Moments Photo: Instagram In 2008, the film "Super Bride," in which Diana played the lead role, was released on the big screen. After the film's premiere, Diana became a true movie star. The film tells the story of an Uzbek guy who falls in love with a girl of Russian descent and the challenges he faces in winning her heart. In turn, Diana's character also uses all her means to win over a strict mother-in-law. But I understood how far people can go to commit disgusting acts. The video had a huge impact and destroyed my entire life in a matter of minutes. This was my defense reaction at that time. I was an 18-year-old girl then. At that time, I had no one to lean on to teach me how to behave in such a situation. More than anyone, I was afraid of how my grandmother would react to these events. But my grandmother supported me with her head held high in this sorrowful situation. I had to leave the country for some time. I was not in Uzbekistan for a month. My grandmother told me that this was a big provocation against me and comforted me. They have always supported me through good and bad times throughout my life. I do not know who spread this video. But the people in it look very much like us. The video spread like lightning, and everyone saw it. I want to emphasize one more thing: at that time, the protection of women's rights was not as developed as it is now. Today, this direction has changed for the better. New laws are being adopted. There is much talk about women's rights. But unfortunately, there was none of this at that time, says Diana. Personal Life Photo: Instagram Diana Yagofarova married a guy named Murod Yunusxo‘jayev in 2009. It is said that the couple met through mutual friends at a restaurant. For a year now, I have decided to leave the house. We are currently in the process of divorce. We maintain a friendly relationship with my ex-husband. I must say that he is a very good father to the children. I currently have three sons. I have always dreamed of adopting a girl from an orphanage, says the actress. Return to Cinema Photo: Instagram Diana says that she has tried herself in many fields, but none of them have given her as much joy as acting in films. This film tells the story of two friends who consider themselves worthy of an "Oscar," but in real life, they have not been lucky and find themselves in a difficult situation.

The 12-year education system will be implemented in Uzbekistan
The 12-year education system will be implemented in Uzbekistan
The general secondary education system in Uzbekistan is undergoing fundamental changes. This was reported by Upl.uz. The country has officially begun implementing a 12-year education model. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education. In the near future, a normative legal document confirming these innovations is expected to be signed. This decision was made as part of a comprehensive program to reform the education sector. The program was presented to the president on September 8 and envisions a systematic renewal of all stages from preschool to higher education. The transition to 12-year education is being carried out to align with international experience. The results of the PISA study conducted in 2022 showed that in 85% of countries considered leaders in education, the number of school years is exactly 12. The introduction of the new model will allow adapting curricula to international standards and also enable students to be well-prepared for subsequent stages of education and vocational training. The updated system structure will be as follows: the first year is designated as a preparatory stage for 6-year-old children, which is considered part of primary education. Primary education will last a total of 5 years, including 1 year of preparation and 4 years of primary school. The next stage is basic general secondary education, covering grades 5 to 9 and lasting 5 years. The final 2 years constitute complete general secondary education, which will be conducted in schools, academic lyceums, specialized military schools, or technical colleges. To ensure a smooth transition process and create the necessary infrastructure, about 3,600 new schools will be built and more than a thousand state kindergartens will be opened. It is precisely in these institutions that the updated preparatory program for the youngest students will be piloted. An interesting point is that information about the transition to 12-year education had been actively discussed on social networks since 2023. However, at that time, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education officially denied these claims, emphasizing that the 11-year education system was in effect. The current decision shows that approaches at the state level have been reconsidered and there is political will to implement large-scale reforms. In the history of independent Uzbekistan, a 12-year education system has existed before. From 2010 to 2017, education was organized based on a 9+3 scheme, where students who completed grade 9 were required to continue their studies at vocational colleges and academic lyceums.

Extensive reforms are being initiated in public education
Extensive reforms are being initiated in public education
A comprehensive review of the public education system in Uzbekistan has been announced. This was reported by Upl.uz. This initiative is aimed at systematically organizing students' free time and strengthening youth with engineering-technical training. Relevant proposals were presented to the head of state on September 8. The government is launching large-scale reforms covering all levels of education – from preschool to higher education. This decision is based on an analysis of the current situation, which identified shortcomings in the unified organization of spiritual-educational work and extracurricular activities. As a result, it has become difficult to fully unlock students' potential. To address this issue, a national idea concept has been developed. This concept serves as the foundation for all spiritual-educational activities and ensures a unified approach in this field. As an important innovation, a vertical system will be created to organize school students' free time. Multi-profile "Kelajak" centers will be established based on the existing "Barkamol Avlod" children's schools, the Republican Youth Center, and the "Yoshlar" sports society. Additionally, an advisor position will be introduced in schools to support student initiatives. This specialist will coordinate and develop student projects. Special attention will be given to the development of preschool education. Active efforts will be made to attract private investors in areas where kindergarten coverage is below 80%. The state will encourage the establishment of new preschool institutions on a public-private partnership basis, providing free land plots in existing kindergarten areas or school vacant spaces. If entrepreneurs maintain their type of activity, they will have the opportunity to receive preferential loans for up to 7 years. From 2026 to 2028, a network of preschool institutions equipped with modern development centers called "New Generation" will be established across the country. As a priority direction of the reforms, technical and engineering training will be strengthened. Fourteen specialized engineering schools will be opened in the republic. Admission will be competitive, and education will be fully funded by the state budget. The educational process will be organized based on a five-year STEM program, integrating the experience of the "New Uzbekistan" university and the specialized school named after Mirzo Ulugbek. To enhance the prestige of engineering professions, starting from 2026, the national competition "Best Engineering School" will be awarded a prize by the head of state. A network of profile schools will be created to improve the teaching of natural sciences. The Abu Ali ibn Sino school in Tashkent will serve as the leader of this network. Changes are also planned in the higher education system: a branch of Moscow State Technical University will be opened in the capital, and the establishment of TashTech Technical University and Olmaliq State Technical Institute is envisaged. Uzbekistan has a literacy rate of 100%, one of the highest in the world. This is a major achievement of the education system, which has historically placed great emphasis on providing equal access to primary education for all.

Criminals Wanted by Interpol in Uzbekistan
Information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This was reported by Upl.uz. It is reported that two criminals wanted internationally by Interpol were brought to Uzbekistan. In particular, a citizen who committed sexual violence in Poland and fled the country was extradited. Additionally, within the framework of combating illegal migration, 39 Uzbek citizens were deported by the United States of America. Among them was a person wanted by Interpol for committing a large-scale fraud crime. These cases were carried out as a result of close cooperation between Uzbekistan's law enforcement agencies and foreign countries, especially Poland and the USA. This cooperation increases the effectiveness of apprehending criminals wanted and bringing them to justice. The detained individuals were received at Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov and handed over to the relevant law enforcement agencies. Legal measures will now be taken against them.
