The defender of Moscow's CSKA football club, Igor Diveev, shared his thoughts on the long career of the team's goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
According to him, it feels like time is passing very quickly, but looking at Akinfeev, one does not feel it. Diveev noted that Akinfeev gives the impression of having been active in football for almost 50 years, yet he is still in good sporting shape.
Akinfeev is a product of the CSKA club and has spent his entire playing career with this team. In the current season, the 39-year-old goalkeeper has played in three matches across all competitions, and in two of them, he did not concede any goals.
His current labor contract with the club will last until the end of June 2026. Akinfeev has been the main goalkeeper of CSKA for many years and is still performing at a high level.
The club management and fans highly value his experience. Therefore, Akinfeev's career can also serve as an example for other young players.
