The goalkeeper of Tolyatti's Akron football club, Sergey Volkov, has been loaned to Moscow's Rodina team. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
Ivan Karpov announced this news on his Telegram channel. Sergey Volkov will play for the Rodina team on loan for one year.
This loan will be free, but the Rodina club will have the option to purchase the 31-year-old goalkeeper for 8 million rubles. The management of the Akron club hopes that Sergey Volkov will have regular playing practice in the new team and secure a place in the starting lineup.
According to club representatives, after the loan period ends, Volkov may return to the Akron team. For reference, the current main goalkeeper of the Akron club is Vitaliy Gudiev, who previously played for the Akhmat and Fakel clubs.
Therefore, Sergey Volkov is being given the opportunity to prove himself and gain experience in the new team. The club management expects positive results from the player's future activities.
