A new A2A payment system has been launched between banks in Uzbekistan

A new service has officially launched in Uzbekistan's financial system, further strengthening cooperation between banks and creating additional convenience for every citizen. Zamin.uz reported on this.
According to official data from the Central Bank, this innovation is implemented in the Account-to-Account or abbreviated A2A format. This modern system was launched based on a robust technical infrastructure created by the Central Information Center under the Central Bank.
The main purpose of the new service is to enable individuals to transfer money directly from an account in one bank to an account in another bank without any intermediaries. Many people should learn the difference between this service and well-known P2P payments.
In standard P2P transfers, funds are sent via the card number. In the A2A system, however, money moves directly between bank accounts rather than through an intermediate card number.
The biggest advantage of this is that opening a new card is not required, and all processes are easily carried out through existing banking apps. This gives customers an additional choice option, serving as a second and very convenient method for them.
Currently, this service has been technically provided to all banks in Uzbekistan. Therefore, every citizen can use this opportunity through their chosen banking app.
Commissions for the service are independently determined based on each bank's internal tariff policy. Under market economy conditions, the Central Bank does not interfere in setting commission amounts, and the Central Information Center also does not work directly with customers.
Therefore, it is recommended that every citizen carefully review their bank's tariffs and conditions before using the service. This allows people to compare different banks and choose the most favorable and convenient financial option.
The new A2A system is an important step that strengthens interbank cooperation and ensures financial freedom.
