Pogrebnyak criticized the refereeing of the Spartak and Zenit match

Former Russian national team player Pavel Pogrebnyak shared his opinion about the refereeing in the match between Spartak and Zenit. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

The match corresponded to the fifth round of the Premier League and ended in a 2:2 draw. The head of the refereeing team for the match was Artyom Chistyakov.

According to Pogrebnyak, the referee's uncertain decisions negatively affected the quality of the game. He emphasized that the referees lack sufficient qualifications.

In such important matches, the referee must approach with confidence and set conditions for the players; otherwise, the game can get out of control. Currently, Zenit is in eighth place in the Premier League standings with six points.

Spartak is in eleventh place with five points. The current Russian champion is the Krasnodar team.
