The head coach of the Russia national team, Valeriy Karpin, provided information about the principles of forming the extended squad for the friendly matches in September. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
The specialist emphasized that he took into account not only the first games of the new season but also the previous achievements of the players. According to him, some players are currently showing bright performances, while others are not visible on the field, but since their potential, capabilities, and experience are well known, they were included in the extended list.
On September 4, the Russia national team will play a friendly match against the Jordan team, and on September 7, there will be a game against the Qatar national team. It was announced that players such as Saponov, Golovin, and Umyarov are also included in the squad.
This decision is aimed at improving the preparation process for the team's upcoming games. Additionally, the extended squad allows the coaches to better assess the condition of the players.
This serves to enhance the overall quality of the team's play.
