Messi could not win the third trophy with Inter Miami

Sports07:06, 01-09-2025

Inter Miami lost 0-3 to Seattle Sounders in the Leagues Cup final. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.

In the 26th minute of the match, Osaze de Rosario opened the scoring for the home team. The Seattle team had more ball possession and used every opportunity to secure the victory.

Lionel Messi took five shots on goal, the highest number in the team. The team led by Javier Mascherano did not manage to target the goal accurately even once.

In the final minutes of the game, Seattle scored two more goals. In the 84th minute, Alex Roldan increased the lead from a penalty, and in the 89th minute, Paul Rothrock secured the victory.

Thus, Messi missed the chance to win his third trophy with Inter Miami. It is worth recalling that in 2023, the Argentine footballer won the Leagues Cup, and in 2024, he achieved success with his team in the MLS regular season.

These results demonstrate his significant contribution to the team. Inter Miami aims to show strong performances in upcoming competitions as well.
