Fenerbahce club's central defender Alexander Djiku will not transfer to Spartak club. This was reported by Euro-football.ru.
This was reported by Turkish journalist Serjan Hamzaoğlu. According to sources, the Ghanaian player will stay in Turkey because his wife is opposing moving to Russia.
It was also recently revealed that Djiku received an offer from Portugal's Braga club. So far, the player has not made a definite decision about his future.
Earlier, there were reports that Spartak club had reached an agreement with Fenerbahce regarding the purchase of Djiku. Last season, the 31-year-old player appeared in 38 matches in the Turkish championship and scored one goal.
According to Transfermarkt data, his market value is 6.5 million euros. Djiku is known as one of the defenders recognized for his experience and reliability on the field.
